The City of Martinez will be hosting its annual Measure D Street Selection Public Workshop with the Franchise and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Wednesday, January 22nd, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers. The workshop is an opportunity for residents to hear recommendations for the next round of street improvement projects to be funded through Measure D and provide input for the Subcommittee and staff.
The workshop is held in accordance with the Measure D Street Selection Policy adopted by the Martinez City Council on February 1, 2017, which states:
Commencing in January 2018 and annually thereafter, the City Engineer will hold an annual public workshop with the Franchise and Infrastructure Subcommittee of the City Council regarding the prioritization of pavement projects to be funded by the proceeds of the Tax Measure. Following the public workshop, and on or before the first Council Meeting of February 2018 and each subsequent year thereafter, the City Engineer shall provide the City Council at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting, as a separate item on a publicly noticed City Council agenda, a list of streets with a proposed treatment schedule fully utilizing revenues collected as part of Measure D projected through the end of the fiscal year. At this meeting, the public will have the opportunity to review and comment on the street list. The Council will then approve the list or approve an amended list of streets.
Public participation in the Measure D Street Selection Workshop is highly encouraged.
